Sheila McGlown is an 12-year metastatic breast cancer survivor who was diagnosed in December 2009 while active duty military in the United States Air Force.
Sheila is a passionate advocate for clinical trials and breast cancer research. Her platform and the reason why she became an advocate is to raise awareness about the racial disparities black women face.
Sheila has participated in many breast cancer review boards as a consumer reviewer. Sheila has a BA and MBA from McKendree University in Lebanon IL. She is also an Advocate in Science and AIS steering committee member recently being selected as a Komen Scholar in 2021.
