Ms. Evans has demonstrated a tireless commitment to breast cancer advocacy since her diagnosis with Stage IV Triple Negative Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) in 2008. Ms. Evans mentors newly diagnosed breast cancer survivors, collaborates with local organizations on breast cancer awareness, and participates in breast cancer research advocacy and holistic clinical trial initiatives.

Notably, Ms. Evans serves as a Cancer Research Advocate for ECOG-ACRIN Research Group and is a valued member on the Breast Cancer Committee, Research Advocates Committee and the Health Equality and Disparities Committee since 2015. She has worked with research teams nationwide and provides input into research studies, protocols for the implementation and advocating for clinical trials for communities of color.
